The AHCCCS NEMT provider enrollment packet says the owner/provider is responsible for providing CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA training for every employee and driver. At signature, the owner attests that every employee and driver holds valid, current HIPAA training certificates and CPR and First Aid certifications.
AHCCCS provider training materials repeat the recordkeeping duty: owners must maintain and provide, on request, a valid Arizona driver’s license for each driver, proof of insurance, CPR and First Aid cards, and HIPAA training documents. The packet also requires driver employment details at registration, revalidation, and company changes.
Treat this as an ongoing documentation obligation. Registration, revalidation, and records requests all come back to whether the provider can produce current training documents for every driver on the roster.
